Here is a simple double battery circuit (three resistors, two batteries) - this can be solved by Kirchoff's Loop rules, as indicated below at the bottom of the page. The resistance values all have to be non-zero, but the voltages can range from +voltage to -voltage (and can include zero). The magnitudes (and "directions") of the currents are shown, as well as the various powers.
