As part of a story (a rare diversion from the material at hand), I started to talk about having a "bad batch" of cereal one morning, and the word "QUISP" popped into my head. This was a cereal from 30 years ago - amazing thing, the brain!
So, where can I find out information about Quisp? ON THE INTERNET!!
Here are some images from my Quisp adventures :
It was the QUAZY Energy Cereal >
Notice the writing above the title .. "The Vitamin Powered Sugary Cereal" (could they get away with that today?) |
Now it is changed to "Crispy Sweet Cereal with 8 Vitamins and Iron" ... Madison Avenue is wising up! |
Hmm, makes me wonder what was really in this stuff >
And you can even buy a Doll (~$40)! :
Then I began to wonder what else was out there ... I remember KABOOM (and I think that is still made) : But I remember this clown face on the boxes I used to get : |
Then I ran into something that was ... well ... freaky! ( I remember the creatures more than the cereal!) |
And then for a blast from the past ... we used to go fishing up in the Adirondack Mountains (still do) in Upstate New York, and would start off the morning with a big heaping bowl full of this stuff (would turn the milk pink afterwards!!) We still go fishing, but we don't eat this stuff! |
