Walking? - set Motion Detector for the "wide" (person) range

Whenever we use the motion detector and are walking toward or away from it, we want to set it to wide range - (the "person" side).

With the cart - set Motion Detector for the "narrow" (cart) range

Whenever we use the motion detector on the track, we want to set it to narrow range - (the "cart" side) that will help eliminate any extra motion being picked up by the sensor.

Put the "stop" at the low end

We put the stop at the lower end of the track to keep the cart from sliding off (you should also CATCH the cart before it hits the end, whenever possible).

This Plexiglas©® L-bracket helps the motion detector get a good reading from the moving cart.

Motion detector on high end of the track

The motion detector has a "slot" on the bottom edge, it can be "clamped" onto the end of the track.

Please refer to the picture to clamp the motion detector onto the track.
