Logger Pro seems to have a little quirk in that it ignores any printer you set in the Page Setup option, and aims for the Windows "default printer" - but it gives one last Print dialog that lets you change to a different printer if you wish. (Basically, don't bother setting anything with the Page Setup button - wait for the last dialog box if you want to print to something other than the default printer.)
Should I print the Window or the Screen? We will almost always have just graphs showing on the screen - and all the "panes" (the different graphs) show up in one "Graph Window" - so we will usually just use the PRINT WINDOWoption as shown to the right. An exception : If there are a mixture of windows on the screen (text window + graph window + table window) - then we will need to print the whole SCREEN to get all of them showing. This will be a rare occurance, and will be noted if required. |

What if I want to print to a non-default printer? In that previous image/directions, there is a "Page Setup" option (and if you looked at it, it seems to let you change to a different printer than the default printer). But, that information seems to get ignored by Logger Pro. Clicking OK in that last step above will present you with this PRINT dialog shown to the right (with the default printer showing, regardless of what you might have set in the Page Setup dialog). If you want to print to something other than the default printer for your machine - make the change here in this final PRINT dialog box. The downside of this quirk: Changing to that "new" printer is only good for that print job - next time you try to print, within that same file/session .. it will present you with the default printer again - sheesh! If someone sees a way around this - something that I'm missing - please let me know at s_schneider@ltu.edu |

What's with that "pane dialog box"? If there are multiple panes (graphs) in a window, you will get a dialog box as shown to the right. We almost always want to say YES - though there might be a time when you just want to print the active pane (saying NO to this dialog will print only the active pane). |
